Exhibitions on view April 14–18

Artist's Statement:

There’s something special about both making cocktails and spending time with someone you love—both require care, timing, and simply being present. This series explores companionship through the world of bartending. My cat appears as the bartender in each bar scene—not participating in the action but watching over it all. In our most vulnerable moments, we don’t always need advice or solutions. Sometimes we just need someone there who sees us.

This exhibition presents two connected bodies of work: narrative bar scenes populated by anthropomorphic cats, and vibrant illustrations that focus on cocktails themselves. In the cocktail works, multiple cats appear simply because I love them—an extension of my affection for my own cat—adding playfulness and warmth to each composition. The drinks serve as visual markers of mood and memory, their layered colors reflecting the complex of emotions. Together, these works honor ritual, presence, and the comfort of being quietly witnessed.

Artist's Statement: My work is a reflection of who i am and how i see the world. My work is focused on creating worlds and a language to express my ideas. I want my paintings to feel as if you are accessing a memory and i am interested in painting the emotion behind my expression. This body of work is a compilation of a year of discovery in who i am as an artist. I explored examining my identity through working with photos of my childhood and interpreting the memory and feeling each picture gave me. A new inspiration was found in painting horses this subject came from a childhood wonder and interest in the animal. In my mind horses are very magical and mystical animals and my paintings are a reflection of this. I chose to title my show year of the horse because my artistic journey has been energized through this newfound inspiration. My primary medium is oil paint on canvas and oil bars on paper.

Public Reception | April 29 from 4–6 PM
Exhibitions on view April 28–May 2

Artist's Statement: My work explores the captivating intersection of nature and imagination, where I create bold, stained landscapes that invite viewers into a world of curiosity. Drawing inspiration from the organic forms and rich colors of the natural environment, I reimagine familiar elements to craft dreamlike settings, often highlighting the imperfections that exist in both nature and life. Each piece is a journey into realms where reality's boundaries blur, encouraging reflection and fostering a deeper connection to the imaginative possibilities nature offers.

Through my art, I aim to spark a sense of escapism and inspire viewers to embrace their own adventures in imagination.
